Handsome Furs - “Sound Kapital” lp - 6/28/11
just a few blurry pictures i took with my trusty point and shoot. Handsome Furs killed it as always, they are really an intimidating live act. mostly songs off the recent “Face Control” lp, one new song, and they threw in “Handsome Furs Hate This City” and “Dead and Rural” from their previous effort “Plague Park” for good measure. There was a tangible buzz in the air as the sold out crowd left the Bowery. Considering going to see them again tonight at the Music Hall.
Leaving the neighborhood again tonight (Tuesday) to catch Handsome Furs at Bowery Ballroom. Tonights show is SOLD OUT but they are also playing tomorrow night (Wednesday) at the Music Hall of Williamsburg and tickets are still available.
For those uninitiated, Handsome Furs are Dan Boeckner of Wolf Parade and his stunning wife and beat-maker Alexei Perry. Together they are a MUST SEE live show, exhibiting equal parts of rock energy, raw sexuality, and dance party madness.
