HalseyBlog is wondering why the area is crawling with NYPD helicopters and cruisers?? Shot this video from my bedroom window.
today is the Puerto Rican Day parade in Manhattan, but for some local flavor, look no farther than our own Halsey neighborhood. Music and festivities started last night until all hours of the morning, and will no doubt continue all day today.
and if you are thinking about driving to the neighborhood, no worries. unlike many areas of New York City, Bushwick proper has no parking regulations whatsoever. as you can see, this person had no problem parking on the sidewalk on Wyckoff…
So I was riding my bike around the neighborhood this afternoon and passed by some “Graffiti Free NYC” trucks power-washing away some of our neighborhood decorations, and couldn’t help but notice some Cleveland hometown pride. I’m originally from Cleveland, if I didn’t mention that before.
