Bushwick in Literature (McKibben Lofts?)
“Horace lived in a huge room filled with cages. Inside each cage was a young person, a futon or cot, a footlocker, a few milk crates. Bare bulbs on wires hung from fixtures in the high ceiling. I’d read about these places. Kids moved to the city, but there were no apartments left to rent to them, or none they could afford. But on a starting salary, or no salary, you could maybe manage...

re: the blizzard Brooklyn has had the most serious problems, the mayor said. He specifically mentioned Halsey Street in Bushwick as having been plowed twice in the last 12 hours. Halsey may be considered a “secondary” road because the B26 bus route runs along it. aww, thanks Mayor!

Dear Netflix Instant Watch, In the old days when you were a disc, I could add movies to my queue in real time. Now that you are wireless and disc-less, I need to restart you in order to refresh my queue if I’ve added to it while you are already running. My PS3 is sad. I am sad. Big step backward. p.s. While I’m at it, how about fine-tuning that not so intuitive Search function, hmm?
